Best Gastronomic Guide Book in Spain
The annual Gourmand World Media Awards have given our Mallorca Restaurants 121 guide books the award for
'Best Gastronomic Guide Book in Spain'
In 2007 we were invited to participate with more than 6500 gastronomy books from 65 countries in different categories.
The Gourmand World Award was set up by Frenchman Edouard Cointreau 12 years ago. This is an annual competition rewarding and honouring those who 'cook with words'. It is there to increase the knowledge of, and respect for, food and wine culture from around the world.
Last year the World Competition was held in Beijing, China. This year it will be in London on the 13th April 2008.

Mallorca Restaurants 121 Guides - Shortlisted for the WORLD Finals
On the 25th February 2008 we were advised that our guide books have gone through to the shortlist for the final World Gourmand Competition on 13th April 2008.
We are one of three books in the Category of 'Best Guide' in the World Final Competition, competing against a Chinese book on Shanghai delicacies and a food book on Mexican cuisine.
Second Best in the World!
We were awarded second place in 'Best gastronomic Guide book in the World' title in London on the 13th April 2008.
London Book Fair 2008
The London Book Fair took place on the 14 - 16th April 2008 at Earls Court in London. Our three guide books were on display at the Gourmand Stand.
We were very pleased with the outcome of these two events.
