Wine Courses in English at Vinus & Brindis, Palma de Mallorca

The basic wine tasting course is held on Thursdays, from 7 to 9 in the evening. This is a basic course, during which 4 or 5 wines are to be tasted. The course covers the basics about tasting, with a hint or two about wine production. The cost is 45 euros, and has to be booked one week in advance. The minimum is four people, and the maximum is 7, so we ask people to call or drop us an email a week before so we can fit them in, or delay it a week in case we don't have enough people.

There is also the wine tasting course for beginners. This is a more thorough course; it runs 2 hours on 2 different days, (4 hours total).

We cover the whole wine process, from the vine to the glass, and we taste reds, whites, sweet dessert wines and cava's, explaining each of them and its production process.

And then there is the 'whatever-you-want' tasting. :-) Basically, if you have a group of four or more, and want to have a special evening, we can arrange it in our tasting room or wherever you want. For example, we do 'Rivera VS Rioja' tastings for a medical group. They love it because those are the most important denominations in Spain, everybody knows them, and yet no one is capable of telling them apart. So we do a tasting with 4 wines (two Riojas and two Riberas), and an additional one that's covered with paper so 'pupils' can test their acquired knowledge.

People are very surprised when they realize how easy it is to tell them apart, and it's a very funny way to learn how to taste wine, in a dynamic and playful way.

Of course this is just an example. We can do discovery flights along Spain's most important wines from all around, Discover Mallorca Tastings, Cava Vs Champagne tastings... It all depends on the customer's taste and budget... Then the price for this kind of tastings depends greatly on the wines to be tasted.

We can do it in either Spanish or English, but since most of our clients are Spanish speaking, we'll ask our English customers to come in groups of four. This entitles them to a 10% discount (applicable to groups of 2 or more on wine tasting courses).
