Description
The location which until recently housed Fosh Food gourmet shop has been reinvented by the Fosh Food Group and is now Tasca de Blanquerna Restaurant. La Tasca serves regional Spanish food with a modern twist.
'Tasca' is a word for a very simple Spanish eatery and the creators of Tasca de Blanquerna want the restaurant to be somewhere people can come together to enjoy good Spanish food within a very relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is all open plan which means customers can see right into the kitchen where every dish is made to order by the in house chefs.
'Essentially Tasca is a celebration of regional Spanish food' says Marc Fosh, Chef and co-founder, 'and all the regions of Spain are represented within the varied menu. The menu consists of a variety of dishes and also features a long list of Marc Fosh's own recipes which are introduced within the menu itself or as 'dishes of the day'. 'Regional Spanish Food has always been a passion of mine' says Marc Fosh. Emphasis is given to using fresh, seasonal and local products and each dish is loaded with a healthy edge.
Tasca de Blanquerna is extremely flexible and affords guests the opportunity to enjoy anything from a variety of tapas and a drink to a full three course meal. There is a very popular set menu and dish of the day and guests can sit outside on the terrace or inside in full view of the kitchen.
