Rafael studied at the Fray Junípero Serra Hotel Management School in Palma. One of his first jobs in the kitchen was at Reads Hotel, as part of Marc Fosh's team, and from there he went on to work under Guillermo Mendez at El Olivo Restaurant in Deia. He spent a year living and working in Germany and on his return begun working as part of the kitchen team at Es Moli den Bou, with Chef Tomeu Caldentey. Rafael is currently Head Chef at the renowkned 3|65 Restaurant inside the Son Brull Hotel & Spa in Pollensa.
At the beginning of his career Rafeal loved creating and innovating in the kitchen. 'Now, what I am most passionate about is recovering combinations of flavours and basic ingredients. I love to recreate classic dishes in order to be able to relive sensations and flavours which have often been forgotten at many restaurants.'
