A jewel hidden away in the backstreets, its popularity is largely attributable to the legacy left by its fouding personality - the chef Joan Olives i Mercadal - a man with a lifelong passion for fine food and excellent wines.
The deceased Joan Olives left his magnificent recipes as an inheritance to the team at Malvasia and they now continue to reproduce his legendary dishes upholding the same spirit he began the restaurant with. Malvasia is unconventional in that there is no 'a la carte' menu.
