Description This restaurant which was founded in 1994 by Bruno Farnochhia and his son Stefano, continues to delight customers on Sant Magi street in Santa Catalina with its Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
The kitchen, which is run by Stefano and his uncle Anthony Bertucci, prepares authentic Toscana cuisine with British touches, thanks to the select Scottish ingredients, such as Aberdeen Angus or scallops which Bruno introduced to the kitchen years ago.
La Baranda has recently had its basement wine cellar renovated and it now includes an atmospheric bar which serves drinks, wines and liqueurs as well as a selection of miniature cuisine prepared by Anthony. ‘Customers can choose to have something from our regular menu, or try a variety of all our dishes in miniature version, for a reduced price at our bar' Stefano explains.
One of this restaurant's greatest assets is its team of professionals which now includes Nicola Strona, who acts as maitre welcoming all the guests as well as recommending Italian or Spanish wines to go with their meals.
