Description
At Plaza del Blanquer in Inca, the square he grew up in as a boy, Joan Marc Garcias Amer has opened a restaurant.
Joan Marc is a chef whose reputation precedes him, for years he delighted customers and critics alike at 3/65 Restaurant in Pollensa, and now, with a lot of help from his family, he has lovingly refurbished this establishment in Inca and opened it under his own name.
At Joan Marc Restaurant, Joan Marc offers his signature cuisine which incorporates traditional Mallorcan cooking techniques, ingredients of the highest quality and his own expert touch. The menu is made up of 'half portions' so that diners can enjoy a starter, a fish and meat course and a dessert for a very reasonable price. The chef also offers seasonal 'specials' which include traditional Mallorcan dishes such as 'Fava Parada' or Pigeon Rice.
The restaurant is modern and welcoming; the utmost care has been taken with every aspect of the décor to make it very attractive and original while maintaining a sense of comfort and wellbeing. A natural streak runs throughout the establishment with the central features being the natural cypress tree trunks which decorate it at intervals. Their metal branches hold small boxes where pieces of handcrafted jewellery made by Joan Marc's sister Maria Magdalena are displayed. Diners can see right into the kitchen while they enjoy their meal on the wooden tables handmade by Joan Marc's father.
In short, Joan Marc's restaurant is very much a family affair which offers diners an opportunity to savour the exquisite cuisine lovingly presented by this local chef.
