Description Forn de Sant Joan Restaurant is located in the 'forn' (meaning bakery in Catalán), a building which was the neighbourhood bakery for many years in the emblematic area of La Lonja in Palma, Majorca. Christian and Carlos' father bought the building in 1992, restored it, then opened it as a four storey restaurant. The original ovens and tiles used in the bakery are still in place and they lend an antique atmosphere to the restaurant which has since been taken over by the two brothers. Christian and Carlos have refurbished much of the décor, and have added some modern touches to the cuisine.
The restaurant has four floors, each with its own atmosphere and design, so customers can choose the ambience they like best. The menu, created by executive chef Alex Sunyé from Barcelona, changes every six months and the dishes are prepared every evening in the kitchen which is in full view of the first floor.
Forn de Sant Joan is a family-run restaurant which successfully maintains an excellent relationship with its customers, so much so that instead of customers, they are more like old friends of the Baqués family. Whether you fancy some tapas or a full meal, the team here will look after you. Choose between one of the four rooms to enjoy, what will be without a doubt, a very pleasant evening.
