Description
Fausto Izquierdo Gourmet Shop in the emblematic market of Santa Catalina is a true family business. Virgilio's parents first set up their stall of cold meats and cheeses in 1950. Fausto was from Teruel (Aragón) in mainland Spain and right from the start his stall was filled with new products which he brought over from the mainland and enjoyed introducing to his Mallorcan clientele. 

Different types of rice, cheese, condensed milk and hams were a success in Santa Catalina market and soon enough Fausto Izquierdo was one of the first stalls to invest in a refrigerated display cabinet. Virgilio practically grew up behind the counter with his parents and he have now passed on the business to the third generation of the Izquierdo family.

His daughter Maria and her husband Juanjo have introduced many new products to the stall incuding varieties of spices, oils and vinegars as well as all manner of gourmet preserves and condiments. At Fausto Izquierdo you will not find meats and cheeses bought regularly at larger shops or supermarkets, but rather you will discover products of a higher quality and produced on a much smaller scale. 

Maria and Juanjo are happy to advise you on how to combine and use any of their products and enjoy extending the range of Fausto Izquierdo's orginal offering; cold meats and cheeses of the highest quality.
