Description Es Porxo, located on the outskirts of Palma, used to be an old coach house, then it turned into a grocery store, then a bar, until it was converted into an eatery.
Under new management since November 2009, Es Porxo is an attractive and characteristic establishment where one can enjoy typical Mallorcan and International cuisine.
An informal and cozy setting encourages dinner guests to linger for after lunch or dinner conversation. Moreover, on display at Es Porxo are 43 off set lithographs of Picasso; preparatory sketches that the artist made for his famous work of art 'Guernica'. An exclusive collection which could certainly fuel some additional discussion.
Host Bernat Marqués explains: 'At Es Porxo the aim is to do everything well, and to offer a perfect cuisine along with a correct service. What we want is for our guests to feel totally at home, while enjoying the best food.'

Specialties A versatile menu. Specialising in rice dishes (of both the dry and soup variety - min 2 portions), Monkfish stew, Monkfish with onion, Fine de Claires Oysters. Certain dishes are made to order. Lobster is no longer available due to fishing restrictions.
Examples of Dishes of the Day: Cod 'escalibada' (grilled sweet peppers); Pork with 'Tumbet' (Mallorcan grilled summer vegetables); Fried lobster with egg (minimum 2 portions)

Facilities There is a private dining room which can accommodate a maximum of 10 people. The restaurant offers set menus for groups of more than 6 people. The establishment can be rented out for celebrations or company meals of a maximum of 50 people.
