Catavinos, in its new bigger premises in Can Valero, is a multi-functional establishment devoted to the world of wine. It offers a three-tiered service which includes: distribution to restaurants, wine education (wine courses and tastings, as well as presentations) and the shop which is open to the public. 

Catavinos is one of the largest wine distributors in Mallorca and a centre of excellence for all kinds of activities related to the world of wine. It also was the brains behind FEVI 2009, the successful wine expo which no doubt, turned out to be one of the leading wine fairs in the Balearics for national and international wines.

The wine shop is open to the public every day of the week, and stocks around 1000-1200 different wines, including all the Spanish designations of origin, Mallorcan and international wines. Apart from the shop, Catavinos has various rooms which it uses for all types of educational and recreational activities, always maintaining the theme of wine, or combining it with gastronomy.

The team at Catavinos is made up of young professionals who transmit their enthusiasm and passion for wine to each and every customer, both when advising customers at the shop and organizing and teaching at the various courses and workshops. The high level of professionalism and care shown by the staff makes for a very regular clientele, both of professionals and of private patrons. Catavinos is the headquarters of the Association of Sommeliers of the Balearic Islands.

Wide selection of Spanish and International wines. Champagnes, liqueurs, oils, salts and more. Wine tastings and Wine Courses. Presentations.  

Every Thursday and Friday 'Wine Tasting at Catavinos' from 18.00 to 21.00. An informal get together during which you can try different wines by the glass while meeting new people or catching up with friends. No entrance fee, just pay for the glasses of wine consumed, complimentary Mallorcan tapas will be provided. The wine tasting is guided by a sommelier who explains each wine.

The team at Catavinos is made up of sommeliers and wine professionals. They are at your disposal at all times to help you choose the perfect wine for every occasion.

The wines can be preserved at their optimal temperature using the shop's specialised fridges. Customers can pre order a bottle and ask for it to be prepared to its ideal temperature before collection. Delivery service to your home or business, at no extra charge, for any order over €60.

Function room for cooking classes, presentations

Personalised gift hampers and boxes are tailor-made to the taste and budget of the customer. Special hampers designed by the island's most renowned sommeliers are also available.

Catavinos boasts several specially equipped rooms which are used for courses and wine tastings as well as an industrial kitchen which can be used for cookery classes or private events. The rooms can be rented out for private use if booked in advance. Catavinos is the perfect venue for a product launch or presentation.

Catavinos Activities
Catavinos organises educational and recreational activities every week of the year and you can see the latest activities available on the Wine Courses section of our site. The activities include wine tasting courses, from beginners to advanced, courses on how to combine wine and food, various workshops, cookery classes and wine tastings.

Every Thursday and Friday Catavinos organises an informal wine tasting which is designed for people to be able to get to know new wines in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All courses and workshops are led by qualified sommeliers and enologists and are accompanied by educational materials, videos and presentations.
