Description Arume is a popular restaurant and sushi bar located in the center of Palma de Mallorca, where chef Tomeu Marti prepares innovative dishes which combine the Asian and Mediterranean cuisines. Tomeu loves Asian cuisine and comments that he learnt the secrets of traditional Japanese cuisine while working a spell in Tokyo. His apprenticeship there included the likes of how to prepare sauces, how to clean and cook rice, how to prepare marinades for the fish and much more.
After that, he worked for five years at one of the most prestigious Japanese restaurants on Mallorca before inaugurating Arume in 2006. On the menu you will find one of Tomeu's star dishes of 13 pieces: the Arume Sushi which consists of nine different types of fish. At Arume restaurant you can enjoy an imaginative cuisine based on a Japanese concept using Mediterranean products, and a modern and cosy environment decorated in a sober, Japanese style.

Specialty Chef Tomeu Martí combines Asian and Mediterranean cuisines. The concept is basically Japanese, but using high quality Mediterranean products. Sushi, Arume Sushi (prepared with 9 different varieties of fish).
The fusion at Arume is most noticeable in the style of the rolls - like the roll of foie mi cuit with quince, and the hot dishes: King prawns wrapped in kadaif pastry with an emulsion of almonds and root of raifort; Gyosas of duck confit and foie; Cod caramelized in a kaffir lime oil with a fennel salad; Teriyaki of duck magret
Menú del Día / Menu of the Day €15 (excluding wine and tax) Choose from two starters then two main dishes, dessert or coffee - every day four new dishes with a more European style are included, which are not found 'a la carte'.
