Experience eclectic and delicious international cuisine with Scandinavian and Caribbean influences, created by Norwegian chef Martin Sveen at Sant Joan Restaurant, which is located in the beautiful village of Calvia. Recently re-opened, the establishment is run by Martin himself, his wife Vanessa and their friends Sylvaine and Kurt. This friendly team of professionals ensures that your visit to Sant Joan, whether for a meal or just a drink, is a happy and relaxing experience. Dine on the charming terrace or inside the tastefully decorated bistro and accompany your meal with a carefully selected wine.




Directions
Coming into the village of Calvia from Palmanova turn right up the main street towards the church. There is parking in front of the church near the restaurant

Starters - Mixed marinated herrings with dill, curry and tomato dressing with rye bread; BBQ garlic prawns with crispy lettuce and lime mayonnaise; Thinly sliced home-cured Norwegian salmon pickled with cucumber with dill & mustard dressing; Cajun chicken Caesar salad

Soups - Yin and Yang Gazpacho; Norwegian Seafood Soup



Fish - Traditional Bermuda fish cakes; Bacalao & potato cakes with crispy coating, potatoes, lettuce, sour cream and fruits of the sea salsa; Mussels & prawns in creamy spaghetti with garlic and mild, medium or hot chilli; Grilled salmon fillet with pickled vegetables, mashed potatoes and lemon butter sauce

Meats - Tenderloin steak served with mushroom sauce, grilled asparagus, red onion marmalade and mashed potatoes; Crispy slow roasted pork with crispy crackling, red cabbage, caramelised apple and mashed potatoes; Sichuan spiced duck breast with oriental vegetables, mashed potatoes and sweet and sour sauce; Rack of lamb with Mediterranean vegetables and grilled goats cheese, mashed potatoes and rosemary sauce

Desserts - Warm chocolate fondant cake with honey caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream; Vanilla ice-cream with warm raspberries and Cointreau served in a martini glass
