VII Mostra de la Llampuga en Cala Rajada, Mallorca

La Llampuga es un pescado de temporada que se pesca entre septiembre y noviembre. Los pescadores de Cala Rajada tienen fama de pescar muchos peces Llampuga. Para promocionar la venta y consumo de este pescado tan típico de las Islas Baleares, los restaurantes y hoteles de la zona de Cala Rajada decidieron organizar una fiesta anual dedicada a la Llampuga. Los establecimientos participantes preparan diferentes platos de Llampuga para que los asistentes puedan disfrutar de ella. La Mostra se hace más grande cada año y ahora también incluye mercadillo, actuaciones musicales y fuegos artificiales.

La VII Mostra de la Llampuga tendrá lugar en Cala Rajada el domingo 12 de octubre de 2008

de 12.00 a 16.00 y de 18.00 a 21.00

Con motivo de la temporada de Llampuga el Restaurante Bistro Taronja Negre del Restaurante Es Molí d'en Bou ofrecen unas Jornadas Gastronómicas Low Cost basadas en la Llampuga, del 8 al 19 de octubre.

La Llumpuga, known in English as the 'Golden Mackerel' is a seasonal fish which is caught between September and November. The fishermen of the Cala Ratjada area in Mallorca are well known for bringing in plenty of this tasty fish. In order to promote the sale and consumption of this fish which is so typical of the Balearic Islands, the restaurants and hotels of the Cala Rajada area decided to organise a yearly event in its honour. The participating establishments prepare many different dishes using the golden mackerel so that visitors of the fair can enjoy it in all its glory. The Llampuga fair gets bigger every year and now includes a craft fair, musical entertainment and a firework display.

The VII edition of the Llampuga festival takes place on Sunday the 12th of October 2008 in Cala Ratjada

From 12.00 to 16.00 and from 18.00 to 21.00

To mark the golden mackerel season the Taronja Negre Bistro Restaurant at Es Moli den Bou Restaurant is offering some special low cost 'llampuga' menus from the 8th to the 19th of October.
